Here\’s a great reminder about how far your work can go when you send it out into the world…
DSW Member Richard\’s award winning Pintsize Play \’It\’s All in the Mind\’ is being revived by South Otago Theatre Society in New Zealand for a 7 date tour of community halls as part of a show called Playing Around along with 7 other previous Pintsized Plays.
Richard\’s dedication to writing and sharing his work is a great inspiration to the members of Derbyshire Scriptwriters- congratulations again, Richard!
Hello, we\’ll be back to our usual time of first Sunday of the month this weekend for our Derbyshire Scriptwriters meet up- we\’ll be discussing works in progress, and the what\’s involved in the process of bringing our work off the page and onto the stage.
If you\’d like to join us, come along and say hello, or email email@example.com
Happy new year! We\’re back, fully de-turkeyed and ready to get on with developing our members scripts from our October workshop- if you\’d like to join us, come along and say hello this Sunday, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
After our successful workshop event in October, we\’re busy writing up our short plays, with an aim to share them with a Derbyshire Audience in the middle of 2017- if you can\’t wait until then, Chesterfield is the place for you to be this January…
Presented by Pomegranate Playwrights
Starts 7.30pm, Mon 30 January 2017
At Pomegranate Theatre
Join us for an evening of intrigue and crime in this mid-winter feast of fun and foul play with thrilling tales and spine-chilling stories!
Written and performed script in hand by The Pomegranate Playwrights.
We\’ve spent our most recent meetings planning, rather than our usual process of reviewing and helping develop our members\’ scripts- this month, we\’re getting ready put those plans into action.
Our aim is to write, develop and present a number of short plays created by our members over the coming months. There are a number of competitions and events aimed at short, fringe style plays across the country (and the rest of the world), so we\’re hosting a workshop to help us get started:
We\’re really looking forward to welcoming John Goodrum of Rumpus Theatre to host our workshop, and really excited to see what story ideas we\’ll see beginning before we meet again in November. There are still a few places left, so if you\’re interested. email email@example.com
It\’s our last meeting before we run our workshop in October, and writing things get going again- if you\’d like to join us and see what we\’re planning, come along and say hello, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello! It\’s time to shake the seaside sand off our feet, put on our writing shoes, and get back to work after our summer break.
Instead of helping members develop their scripts this month, we\’re planning our forthcoming writing workshop, but if you\’re interested in joining the group, you\’re welcome to come along and say hello. If you can\’t make it, send us an email instead- email@example.com
Summer\’s almost here, and so is our July meeting- we\’re planning future DSW projects at the moment, but you\’re welcome to join us if you\’re new to scriptwriting, or would like to meet other writers working hard to tell their stories for stage, screen, or radio.
Come along and say hello this Sunday, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Massive congratulations to DSW writer Richard whose script was the winner at this years Swansea Writers Horror Contest – looking forward to congratulating Richard in person at this Sunday\’s June meeting in Derby Museum. Great work, Richard!
Slight change of date for this month\’s meeting- we\’ll be in the meeting room in Derby Museum on Sunday 12th June from 2 until 4. We\’ll be discussing future plans to help our members create and develop fantastic scripts from their stories- if you\’d like to join us, email us- email@example.com
